About Paradigm Court Reporting

Founded on January 1, 1998 in a merger of three leading Minnesota court reporting firms, Paradigm emerged overnight as the state’s largest agency, with laser focus on litigation technologies and rock-star customer service.

Since 1998, Paradigm has maintained its leadership position in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/ St. Paul and values its local reputation for ethics and excellence.

President Jan Ballman, a Registered Professional Reporter and Certified Manager of Court Reporting Services (one of only two in Minnesota), entered the court reporting field in 1981. Her father, a St. Paul police officer, often testified in court and, fascinated by the person behind “that little machine,” wanted one of his six children to look into the profession. Court reporting was the perfect fit for Daughter Number Two, and Jan has been active in the court reporting business in the Twin Cities ever since.

Jan Ballman is known locally and nationally throughout the court reporting industry as an innovative leader with impeccable integrity. Jan is credited with attracting and retaining the top reporters in Minnesota and building a team that works together seamlessly, from front door to back.

Paradigm loves to support local organizations, associations and charities that foster the common good and can be found at local events throughout the metropolitan area.

Our mantra is “STAY FABULOUS,” and we try to live it out every day in the way we treat our customers and in the way we take care of our own health.
