Anoka, MN: Paradigm Reporting & Captioning President and CEO Jan Ballman was pleased to present the 2017 Paradigm Scholarship to Lisa Knisley, Judicial Reporting student at Anoka Technical College. Lisa explained in her scholarship essay that this is her second career, and stumbled upon the idea of court reporting school through a friend of a friend. On-track to graduate from court reporting school this summer, Lisa aspires to enter the world of freelance reporting in the coming months, and eventually hopes to be able to transition to the CART/captioning world. Lisa credits her time abroad as well as her running career with shaping her into the dedicated and goal-oriented person she is today. As for her experience with Anoka Tech, she raved, “I have heard it said that Anoka Tech is the Harvard of court reporting schools, and I cannot argue with that statement. I feel as if I have received a first-class education here and am proud of attending this program.”
Congratulations, and best of luck to you, Lisa!
