Better Business Bureau Recognizes Paradigm As An Ethics Leader

TorchAwardMinneapolis, MN:  Paradigm Court Reporting & Captioning has been recognized by the Better Business Bureau as a finalist for their 2013 Torch Award for Ethics.  The Torch Award seeks to acknowledge companies that display exemplary levels of ethics, customer service and integrity in all aspects of their operations.

Paradigm Reporting & Captioning was founded in Minnesota in 1998 by seven Minneapolis court reporters who came together because of their shared professional values and love of the court reporting profession.  When those values were threatened in the 1990s with the emergence of court reporting firms entering into contracts that financially favored one party in a lawsuit over another, Paradigm President Jan Ballman fought at the Minnesota State Legislature to ban the practice, and those efforts resulted in the current state law that requires court reporters to disclose to all parties in a lawsuit any exclusive contract they hold with any party in the case.

Integrity has remained a cornerstone of Paradigm’s business model since the firm’s inception fifteen years ago.  Today, Paradigm’s industry-wide reputation for ethical business practices continues to draw and retain top talent.

Paradigm is an NCRA “Ethics First” court reporting firm, publicly pledging to voluntarily comply with all Codes of Professional Ethics and Guidelines of Professional Practice as set out by the National Court Reporters Association.
