NCRA, the National Court Reporters Association, set aside February 16th-22nd as the Second Annual National Court Reporting & Captioning Week. The goal of this week-long celebration is to highlight the contributions of stenographic court reporters and captioners to society, as well as showcase the various career opportunities that exist in the court reporting and captioning fields.
Lawmakers in twelve states recognized Court Reporting & Captioning Week via official proclamation, including Governor Dayton in Minnesota.
Paradigm was excited about the opportunity to celebrate our fabulous profession. We commemorated National Court Reporting & Captioning Week in the following ways:

- Lori Morrow – RPR, CRR, CLR – spoke to over 50 ninth and tenth grade students at Eden Prairie High School about the challenging, exciting and rewarding career of court reporting and provided a realtime demonstration that left the kids very impressed. Pictured Above
- Anoka Technical College, Minnesota’s only court reporting school, held an open house event where several of Paradigm’s court reporters and staff members were in attendance, as were legislators, MAVRC (Minnesota Association of Verbatim Reporters & Captioners), students, court reporters, captioners, and CART providers to celebrate our profession.
